How Do You Factory Reset An Ipad That Is Locked. 2 press and hold the home button while pressing and holding on it plug in the charger into your device. Connect your iPad to the computer via the unplugged end of your cable as you hold the Home button.
If you cant reach the previous owner of that iPad to remove Activation Lock then that iPad is an electronic paperweight and is useless to you now. Leave the other end unplugged. Scroll down to the very bottom and tap on Reset.
